Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QA Tester to join our development team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and usability of our software applications through comprehensive testing and validation.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business and technical requirements to understand application functionality and testing requirements.
- Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Re-test resolved defects and ensure issues are properly fixed before release.
- Perform API testing and validate data where required.
- Perform database testing using SQL queries.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand and resolve issues.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs from a quality and testing perspective.
- Verify fixes across different environments and ensure software meets business requirements.
- Conduct regression testing for new releases and enhancements.
- Maintain proper testing documentation and test execution reports.
- Assist in release validation and production issue investigation.




- Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and automation.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Good understanding of manual testing methodologies.
- Experience writing detailed and effective test cases.
- Strong knowledge of functional and regression testing.
- Good understanding of defect life cycle and bug reporting.
- Basic to good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Understanding of REST APIs and API testing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Postman, or similar tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript is an advantage.
- Experience with CI/CD and basic knowledge of DevOps practices.
- Understanding of performance and security testing concepts.
- Experience testing web-based and enterprise applications.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant QA/testing certifications such as ISTQB will be an added advantage.
