Role Overview
MKA Engineers and Exporters Pvt. Ltd. is looking to appoint a seasoned QA/QC Engineer to lead and oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities across its engineering and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in implementing quality management systems, conducting technical inspections, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring full compliance with national and international standards.
The QA/QC Engineer will be a key member of the operations team, working closely with production, design, procurement, and client-facing teams to embed quality at every stage of the engineering lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust QA procedures, standards, specifications, and work instructions aligned with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards
- Author and manage Quality Plans for product/service development and process improvement projects
- Conduct periodic internal audits, identify non-conformances, and initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Maintain QA documentation including certificates, calibration records, inspection test plans (ITPs), non-conformance reports (NCRs), and site observation records
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and customer-specific quality requirements
Quality Control
- Plan and execute inspection and testing activities at various stages — incoming material,
in-process, and final inspection
- Review materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Coordinate independently with Third-Party Inspection (TPI) agencies, clients, and certification bodies for stage-wise inspections and approvals
- Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, checklists, and control procedures
- Conduct and manage non-destructive testing (NDT) and material qualification tests as applicable
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for quality failures using structured methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Why
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and other quality tools to monitor process performance and drive improvements
- Implement and promote Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste
- Prepare and present detailed quality performance reports and KPI dashboards to management
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers and vendors for quality compliance; manage supplier quality scorecards and corrective actions
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and project teams to integrate quality requirements into all phases of operations
- Provide quality-related training and awareness to shop-floor personnel and cross-functional teams
- Liaise with clients for quality-related communications, documentation submittals, and resolution of quality concerns
Qualifications & Education Education-B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
Experience7–10 years in QA/QC roles within the manufacturing or engineering industry
Certifications (Preferred)ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt; ASNT NDT Level II
Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO standards (ISO 9001, and relevant sector standards)
- Proficiency in quality tools: SPC, FMEA/PFMEA, 8D, RCA, CAPA, MSA/Gauge R&R;
- Experience with Inspection and Test Planning (ITP), preparation of Method Statements, and quality documentation
- Familiarity with measurement instruments and metrology: Vernier calipers, micrometers, CMM, surface roughness testers, and NDT equipment
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and material specifications
- Proficiency in quality control software (e.g., Minitab, QI Macros) and MS Office Suite
