We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Documentation Engineer to join our team in the Valve / Strainer Manufacturing Industry.

Location: Chennai

Experience: 3–6 Years

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production or related field

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review and submit QA/QC procedures and quality documentation to clients and TPI agencies.
- Prepare and maintain ITP, QAP, Quality Procedures, Method Statements and Inspection Documentation.
- Prepare, review and coordinate WPS/PQR and Welding-related documentation as per applicable codes and project requirements.
- Coordinate welder qualification, WQT/WPQ and welding documentation.
- Handle NDT documentation and ASNT Level II activities including RT, UT, MT and PT.
- Review and compile MTCs, NDT reports, heat treatment records, dimensional reports, inspection reports, calibration certificates and test certificates.
- Coordinate with clients, third-party inspectors and internal QA/QC, Production and Engineering teams for inspections, approvals and document submissions.
- Prepare and compile Manufacturing Record Books (MRB)



/ Final Quality Dossiers.
- Track technical document submissions, client comments, revisions and approvals, ensuring timely closure.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, API, ASTM, AWS and project-specific requirements.

Requirements

- ASNT Level II certification in relevant NDT methods.
- Valuable working knowledge of WPS/PQR, WPQ/WQT and welding documentation.
- Experience in QA/QC documentation and client/TPI submissions.
- Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, Section IX, API and ASTM standards is preferred.
- Experience in valves, strainers, pressure-containing equipment or similar manufacturing industries will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
