Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 6–12 years of experience in software testing and strong hands-on expertise in Playwright automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, executing functional and regression testing, and ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain UI automation test scripts using Playwright.
- Build and enhance scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects using defect management tools.
- Perform API testing and integrate API validation with automation suites where required.
- Execute automated test suites across different browsers and environments.
- Troubleshoot test failures and perform root-cause analysis.
- Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment.
- Participate in sprint planning, story grooming, test planning, and release activities.
- Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and quality metrics.




- Continuously identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.

Required Skills
- 6–12 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Positive programming experience in any one of JavaScript / TypeScript / Java / Python, preferably JavaScript or TypeScript for Playwright.
- Strong understanding of Web Automation and UI Testing.
- Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and QA methodologies.
- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have
- Experience migrating automation frameworks from Selenium to Playwright.
- Knowledge of Playwright Test Runner, fixtures, hooks, locators, and parallel execution.
- Experience with cross-browser and parallel test execution.
- Exposure to performance or security testing.
- Experience with Docker or cloud-based testing platforms.
- Knowledge of test reporting tools such as Allure or similar.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
