Python Developer with Kubernetes

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with strong Kubernetes experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Python development, backend application development, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and troubleshooting scalable Python applications running in containerized Kubernetes environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance applications using Python.

Develop backend services, APIs, and microservices using Python.

Work extensively with Python development frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

Develop and maintain applications designed to run in Kubernetes environments.

Containerize Python applications using Docker.

Deploy and manage Python-based applications on Kubernetes.

Work with Kubernetes resources such as Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, StatefulSets, and Jobs.

Create and maintain Kubernetes YAML manifests and Helm charts.

Troubleshoot application, container, and Kubernetes-related issues.

Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.

Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested Python code.

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Prepare technical documentation and contribute to improving application reliability and scalability.

Required Skills





5+ years of strong hands-on experience in Python development.

Strong programming skills in Python, OOP, data structures, and exception handling.

Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and microservices using Python.

Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

Robust hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

Good understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core components.

Experience with Docker and containerized applications.

Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployments, services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, and troubleshooting.

Experience working with Helm charts and YAML.

Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

Experience with Git.

Good understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar.

Good to Have

Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, storage, RBAC, and security.

Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or similar monitoring tools.

Experience with Kafka or other messaging systems.

Good understanding of microservices and distributed systems.

Experience troubleshooting Python applications running in production Kubernetes environments.

Education

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
