Job Purpose The FMCG Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement of FMCG products for the company's retail operations. The role will involve vendor development, product sourcing, commercial negotiations, purchase planning, inventory availability, pricing, margins, promotions, and ensuring timely supply across stores.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of the FMCG market, distributor/dealer networks, modern retail procurement, category management, vendor negotiations, and retail pricing.

Key Responsibilities

1. FMCG Procurement & Purchase Planning

- Manage end-to-end purchasing of FMCG categories such as:

- Staples

- Edible Oil
- Pulses & Grains

- Spices
- Biscuits & Bakery

- Beverages

- Packaged Foods

- Personal Care

- Home Care




- Dairy & related products
- Confectionery and other FMCG categories.
- Prepare purchase plans based on sales trends, inventory levels, stock cover, seasonality, promotions, and store requirements.
- Ensure optimum product availability across all stores and warehouses.
- Monitor rapid-moving, slow-moving, non-moving, and ageing inventory.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and stock-outs.

Educational Qualification

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Purchase, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field will be preferred.
