Role Description The Purchase Manager – Grains will oversee end-to-end grain procurement operations, ensuring consistent, cost-effective, and quality sourcing for FarMart’s supply chain. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chhatarpur, responsible for identifying and onboarding suppliers, negotiating purchase contracts, and managing daily procurement volumes.

The role involves monitoring market trends and price movements, planning purchase schedules, and maintaining accurate records of purchases, inventory, and contracts.

The Purchase

Manager – Grains will collaborate closely with operations, logistics, quality,



and finance teams to align procurement plans with business requirements and to resolve supply or quality issues. The role also includes implementing procurement best practices, ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety standards, and contributing to continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong background in grain procurement, agricultural sourcing, or commodity trading, with hands-on experience managing purchase operations.
- Sound knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and logistics coordination within food or agri-related sectors.
- Demonstrated ability in vendor management, including supplier identification, relationship building, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and price trend monitoring to support informed purchasing decisions.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms for procurement, documentation, and reporting; experience with ERP or similar systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple transactions and timelines in a fast-paced workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in grains or agri commodities in Central India or similar markets is highly desirable.
