About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to join our team. You will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, purchase order processing, and cost optimization. In this role, you'll work with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices. Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors; develop and maintain alternate suppliers
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) with accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct RFQ and quotation comparison; negotiate favorable prices and payment terms
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure on-time delivery; follow up on pending orders
- Handle quality discrepancies, shortages, rejections, and returns efficiently
- Maintain procurement records, vendor data, and documentation
- Coordinate with production, stores, warehouse, and accounts departments for inventory planning
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements
- Prepare reports on purchase activities, vendor performance, and cost analysis




- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures

Required Skills & Experience:
- 25 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations
- Bachelor's degree (B.Com, B.Tech, B.Sc, or equivalent) preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, charting)
- ERP/procurement software experience (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) desirable
- Knowledge of vendor management, RFQ, PO processing, and procurement best practices
- Solid negotiation, communication, and documentation skills
- Attention to detail, ownership mentality, and follow-up discipline
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverages, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, or Retail sectors
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (APICS CSCP, CAPM)
- Understanding of inventory management and stock reconciliation processes
