Experienced Post Silicon Validation required to drive Analog and PMIC validation, characterization, and bench-testing activities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading validation teams, developing comprehensive validation strategies, automating bench measurements, and debugging complex silicon issues through close collaboration with Analog Design, System, Product, Applications, and Test Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Working on end-to-end post-silicon validation and characterization of analog IPs and PMIC devices.
- Define validation strategy, test plans, coverage matrices, schedules, and execution milestones.
- Own validation execution across pre-silicon readiness, first silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, and production support.
- Review specifications, design documents, schematics, datasheets, and validation requirements.
- Develop and execute detailed bench-validation procedures for:
- Functional validation
- DC and AC electrical characterization
- Power, voltage, current, and thermal measurements
- Accuracy, efficiency, line/load regulation, and transient response
- Protection features such as OVP, UVLO, OCP, OTP, and short-circuit response
- Power sequencing, startup/shutdown, ramp behavior, and fault recovery
- Corner, stress, and limit testing
- Build and maintain automated validation frameworks using Python, NI PXI, TestStand, LabVIEW, and related bench-automation environments.
- Develop reusable test scripts, drivers, measurement utilities, data-logging modules, and report-generation solutions.
- Integrate oscilloscopes, power supplies,
electronic loads, SMUs, source-measure units, spectrum/network analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
- Debug silicon, board, firmware, software, and measurement-related failures using systematic root-cause-analysis techniques.
- Analyze characterization data, identify trends and anomalies, and provide technically sound conclusions.
- Own validation reports, defect documentation, failure analysis summaries, and executive-level status updates.
- Coordinate with global engineering teams and communicate risks, dependencies, silicon issues, and schedule impact.
- Mentor engineers in bench validation, automation, debugging, data analysis, and effective documentation practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in validation coverage, automation efficiency, test quality, and execution processes.
Required Technical Skills
Analog and PMIC Validation
- Solid hands-on experience in analog IC and PMIC post-silicon validation.
- Expertise in validating power-management functions such as:
- LDOs
- Buck and boost converters
- Charge pumps
- Battery-management circuits
- Voltage/current references
- ADC/DAC interfaces
- Power-path and charging solutions
- Protection and monitoring blocks
- Strong knowledge of analog and mixed-signal measurements, characterization methodologies, and validation flows.
- Experience validating silicon against electrical specifications, datasheet requirements, and design targets.
- Exposure to silicon debug, failure isolation, characterization limits, and engineering change recommendations.
