We are looking for a highly competent and experienced PRT – English who can effectively develop students' language skills and create an engaging primary learning environment. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, excellent communication abilities and a professional approach towards teaching and student development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured, age-appropriate English lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary through engaging activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching resources and assessments.
- Monitor student performance and provide appropriate academic support wherever required.
- Conduct language-enrichment activities such as storytelling, reading, public speaking, role play and vocabulary-building exercises.
- Maintain accurate academic records, assessment documentation and lesson-related records.
- Foster a positive, disciplined and inclusive classroom environment.
- Identify individual learning needs and use suitable teaching strategies to support student progress.
- Communicate students' academic progress and concerns professionally with parents and the academic team.
- Collaborate with colleagues and coordinators for academic planning and school initiatives.
- Participate in assemblies, competitions, events and other co-curricular activities.
- Follow school policies, academic procedures and applicable CBSE requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with English as a subject – Mandatory.
- B.Ed. from a recognized / NCTE-recognized institution – Mandatory.
- Candidate must meet the applicable qualification requirements for a Primary Teacher (PRT) under relevant norms.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Primary-level teaching experience – Mandatory.
- Experience specifically teaching English at the Primary level – Mandatory.
- CBSE school experience – Preferred.
Essential Skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary and language pedagogy.
- Effective lesson planning and assessment skills.
- Ability to engage young learners through creative and activity-based methods.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in digital teaching tools and MS Office.
- Professional, confident and student-focused approach.
Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates currently working as PRT English / Primary English Teachers in reputed schools, particularly those with CBSE experience and a proven record of student development, are encouraged to apply.
Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating strong subject expertise, confident communication and effective classroom delivery.
