Position: Psychological Counsellor / School Counsellor

Location: Ludhiana(Kohara, Kakowal, Kailash Nagar, Sunet)

Reporting To: School Principal / School Management

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and qualified Psychological Counsellor to support the emotional, social, behavioural, and psychological well-being of students. The counsellor will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and school management to identify concerns early and provide appropriate guidance and counselling support.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students.
- Identify and assess students facing emotional, behavioural, academic, social, or personal challenges.
- Maintain confidential counselling records and student case documentation.
- Conduct regular sessions on mental well-being, stress management, self-confidence, communication, relationships, bullying, and career awareness.
- Support students in coping with academic pressure, examination stress, peer relationships, and family-related concerns.
- Coordinate with teachers and parents, wherever appropriate, to understand and address student concerns.
- Identify cases requiring specialised psychological or clinical intervention and make appropriate referrals.
- Conduct awareness programs and workshops for students,



teachers, and parents.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
- Handle sensitive student matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy.
- Assist the school in developing student well-being and counselling initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and submit periodic reports to school management.

Required Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology or a relevant field.
- Relevant counselling experience, preferably in a school or educational environment.
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic, patient, approachable, and non-judgmental personality.
- Ability to interact effectively with children and adolescents.
- Robust understanding of child and adolescent behaviour and emotional development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations responsibly.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and school counselling practices will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidates with prior experience in schools, educational institutions, child development programs, or counselling centres will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
