About BeFiScBeFiSc is a financial data intelligence and risk technology company helping businesses make safer, faster, and smarter decisions. We work with organizations across FinTech, BFSI, Insurance, Digital Lending, and Financial Services.
Our business is primarily API-driven, providing technology and data solutions that enable businesses to integrate financial intelligence, verification, fraud prevention, and risk assessment capabilities directly into their platforms.
Our core focus is Fraud Prevention, Risk Analysis, and Financial Data Intelligence. Using APIs, technology, data analytics, and large-scale data processing, we help businesses verify customers and businesses, assess risk, detect suspicious patterns, and automate critical financial workflows.
Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager – API & FinTech who can take end-to-end ownership of API integrations, new API/product launches, enterprise client implementations, technical projects, and production-related deliverables.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of how REST APIs and API-based businesses operate, including API documentation, authentication, request/response structures, webhooks, sandbox and production environments, UAT, go-live, SLAs, latency, uptime, error handling, and production issue management.
The Project Manager will act as a bridge between Clients, Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Information Security, Operations, Support, and Business teams.
The role requires someone who can understand both the technical and business side of API integrations and ensure that projects move from requirement to production without unnecessary delays.
Key Responsibilities
1. Take complete ownership of API development projects from initial requirement gathering through UAT, production go-live, and post-production monitoring.
2. Understand client requirements and map them to existing APIs, enhancements, or new product requirements.
3. Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams for new API development, API enhancements, integrations, and client-specific requirements.
4. Understand API documentation including endpoints, HTTP methods, headers, authentication, request parameters, JSON responses, status codes, error codes, and webhooks.
5. Manage the complete API integration lifecycle: Requirement → Feasibility → Development → QA → Documentation → Staging/UAT → Client Testing → Production → Monitoring.
6. Coordinate sharing and management of staging credentials, production credentials, authentication keys, IP whitelisting, callback URLs, and environment configurations.
7. Ensure clients receive correct and updated API documentation, sample requests/responses, Postman collections, and integration instructions.
8. Track client integration progress and proactively follow up on pending actions from both internal teams and clients.
9. Maintain project trackers covering owner, priority, status, ETA, dependency, blocker, next action, and completion date.
10. Coordinate API testing with QA, Product, Engineering, and client teams before production release.
11. Manage UAT sign-off and production go-live readiness.
12. Track API performance and service commitments including uptime, success rate,
latency, error rate, source-down percentage, and SLA/TAT.
13. Coordinate production issues involving API failures, high latency, source downtime, incorrect responses, authentication failures, or integration issues.
14. Ensure critical production issues are escalated to the appropriate Engineering, DevOps, or Product teams based on severity.
15. Coordinate preparation of RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for major incidents and ensure corrective and preventive actions are tracked to closure.
16. Differentiate between client-side issues, BeFiSc-side issues, third-party/source issues, and integration/configuration issues and coordinate accordingly.
17. Manage multiple enterprise client integrations and API projects simultaneously.
18. Conduct regular project and integration review meetings with internal stakeholders.
19. Maintain clear MoMs, action items, owners, timelines, and follow-ups for client and internal meetings.
20. Identify project risks, technical dependencies, resource constraints, and potential delivery delays at an early stage.
21. Coordinate with Information Security and compliance teams where client integrations require security questionnaires, VAPT, IP whitelisting, data-flow clarification, or other security requirements.
22. Provide regular project status reports to leadership highlighting completed items, pending integrations, delays, blockers, risks, and upcoming releases.
