About the Organization

ProblemSolvers Lab (PSL) began with a easy idea: all students can engage in deep, higher-order thinking when they have the right environment and the right kind of mathematical experiences.

Across many classrooms in India, students rarely get opportunities to think aloud, explore structure, make conjectures, work with peers, or experience the satisfaction of figuring something out. PSL was created to bring these opportunities into everyday instruction.

Our work is grounded in a few design principles:

- Low-floor, high-ceiling tasks that allow every student to enter and stretch
- Productive struggle, where students test ideas, revise, and persist
- Seeing students as visualizers, experimenters, and problem-solvers, not passive recipients

Everything we do, with teachers and with students, rests on this approach.

About the Fellowship Program

We partner with Public-Private Partnership (PPP) schools like Akanksha and affordable private schools to build teacher skills in conducting effective problem-solving sessions. This year, our fellowship includes 120 teachers who collectively reach about 3,500 students in Grades 3–9.

We work closely with math education professors and practitioners from institutions like NYU, Azim Premji University, and others to strengthen our curriculum and pedagogy.

About the Role

We are hiring a Program Manager to lead the implementation of ProblemSolvers Lab’s teacher fellowship programs across partner organizations. This role focuses on translating our curriculum and pedagogy into strong classroom practice through effective training, coaching, and project management, while working closely with fellows,



partners, and the internal PSL team.

You will gain deep exposure to teacher development, instructional leadership, and program design, while contributing to high-quality, scalable problem-solving experiences for students and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

- Program design and implementation: Lead the planning and execution of teacher fellowship programs across partner organizations; contextualize ProblemSolvers Lab curriculum and pedagogy to partner needs, grade levels, and classroom realities; ensure high-quality, consistent implementation across sites.

- Training and coaching: Design and facilitate training experiences that build fellows’ capacity in learner-centric pedagogy and problem-solving facilitation; provide ongoing, individualized coaching through observations, reflections, and feedback conversations; support fellows in planning, executing, and reflecting on classroom practice.

- Partnership and collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for partner organizations, ensuring clear communication and smooth program delivery; collaborate closely with curriculum, facilitation, and leadership teams to align goals and execution; gather inputs from fellows and partners to continuously improve the program.

- Monitoring, reflection,



and learning: Track fellow participation, engagement, and deliverables; review reflections, classroom artifacts, and student work to identify patterns and areas for improvement; document program learnings to inform curriculum refinement and future scaling.

Skills and Experiences

- 2-4 years of classroom experience teaching mathematics
- Strong understanding of learner-centric pedagogy and problem-solving instruction in the classroom
- Experience designing and facilitating adult learning spaces
- Ability to coach teachers through observation, feedback, and reflection
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with a range of stakeholders towards shared outcomes
- Strong planning, organization, and follow-through across multiple partners and cohorts
- Ability to synthesize and communicate classroom evidence into actionable insights for facilitators
