Program Head

Reports to Director, MABFSI
Role Purpose The Program Head shall own end-to-end delivery of banking and financial services training programs from client needs assessment and curriculum solutioning through faculty deployment, program execution, and outcome measurement — in partnership with major private and public sector banks.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Solutioning
— Engage directly with client stakeholders to understand business context and training requirements
— Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) to identify skill gaps and learning objectives
— Design curriculum and program solutions that map directly to client requirements
— Partner with the Sales team during the pre-sales and proposal stage to scope client requirements accurately
— Negotiate with clients on commercial and delivery terms as required
Program Design & Scope
— Design and deliver programs across induction, sales, operations, audit, compliance, and leadership tracks
— Manage programs ranging from short-format (five-day) to long-format (four- to six-month) interventions
— Remain current on evolving banking sector dynamics, regulatory change, and role-specific skill requirements to keep curriculum relevant
Faculty Planning & Deployment
— Hire and onboard faculty at the appropriate cost and quality benchmark for each program
— Build and maintain the faculty allocation timetable for program delivery
— Brief faculty on program objectives, client context, and delivery standards
Cross-Functional Coordination
— Work closely with Human Resources, Finance, Infrastructure, and Facilities to ensure smooth program logistics and execution
— Negotiate internally with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders on cost, resourcing, and timelines
— Represent MABFSI in client governance and review meetings
Outcome Ownership
— Own program outcomes: for entry-level and induction programs, measured by Day-One / First-Half productivity of learners upon joining the bank; for upskilling programs, measured by readiness for the target role
— Track and report program performance against defined success metrics
— Drive continuous improvement based on client feedback and learner outcomes
Reporting & Governance
— Report program status, outcomes, and issues to the Director, MABFSI
— Maintain delivery documentation: attendance, assessments, faculty cost tracking, and compliance records
Qualifications & Experience
— Ten to fifteen years of experience in the banking industry, preferably in senior positions
— Prior exposure to a bank’s Learning & Development or Training function strongly preferred
— An advanced degree such as an MBA or a Ph.D. preferred
— End-to-end understanding of core bank functions — Business, HR, Compliance, and Risk
— Demonstrated experience in program and curriculum design and end-to-end training delivery
— Experience managing banking-sector client relationships and conducting training needs analyses, preferred
