Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Engineer for our machine building manufacturing environment. This is a strategic, office-based Production Planning & Control (PPC) role focused entirely on back-end scheduling, BOM-based planning, and system execution rather than shop-floor supervisory execution.

The ideal candidate specializes in converting complex engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) into structured manufacturing sequences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan & Schedule: Prepare detailed production plans, schedules, and workflows based on customer orders and engineering BOMs.
- Drawing Interpretation: Convert technical engineering drawings into accurate manufacturing sequences and work plans.
- MRP Execution: Perform material requirement planning (MRP) to ensure complete component and raw material availability.
- System Management: Create and maintain BOMs, routings, and planning data within the ERP system.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronize timelines across production, purchase, stores, quality, and external subcontract vendors.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor production velocity against the master plan and update ERP schedules in real-time.




- Capacity Optimization: Identify operational bottlenecks and lead corrective capacity planning adjustments.

Core Requirements:

- Dedicated PPC Experience: 8–12 years of core experience strictly within a Production Planning & Control function.
- Industry Background: Proven track record in Machine Building, OEM, Heavy Engineering, Capital Goods, or Precision Machining environments.
- Technical Skills: Absolute independence in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and managing complex BOM structures.
- Systems: Hands-on expertise with MRP modules and ERP-based planning systems, along with advanced Excel skills.
- Workflow Knowledge: Strong grasp of fabrication, machining, assembly, and subcontracting workflows.
