Role Description The Production Manager will oversee end-to-end production activities at Gurjar Gems’ Mumbai facility in a full-time, in office role. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and scheduling production runs, coordinating resources, and ensuring that output meets quality standards and delivery timelines. The role involves managing production staff, monitoring equipment and materials, resolving operational issues, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

The Production

Manager will collaborate with quality control, procurement, and design teams to align production plans with business goals and customer requirements,



while maintaining safety and compliance standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in production management or operations within manufacturing, preferably in jewelry, gems, or related industries.
- Strong skills in production planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation to meet volume and quality targets.
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, handle staffing schedules, and manage performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using production tracking tools, spreadsheets, or ERP systems to monitor progress and report metrics.
- Solid understanding of quality control principles, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures in manufacturing.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments and resolve issues quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Production Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; relevant diplomas or certifications are an advantage.
- Experience working in office in a factory or workshop setting; familiarity with Mumbai-based manufacturing operations is a plus.
