Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer / Agricultural Implements Designer responsible for designing, developing, modifying, and improving agricultural machinery and implements. The candidate will work closely with the production, fabrication, purchase, quality, and R&D; teams to convert concepts into practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable machine designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop agricultural implements and machinery as per product requirements.
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
- Design machine components such as frames, shafts, brackets, linkages, hydraulic assemblies, guards, and other mechanical parts.
- Perform basic engineering calculations, load calculations, material selection, and component sizing.
- Modify and improve existing machine designs based on field feedback, testing, and production requirements.
- Develop BOMs (Bill of Materials) and maintain accurate design documentation.
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, reliable, and easy to assemble/service.
- Coordinate with the production team for fabrication, machining, welding, assembly,



and implementation of designs.
- Conduct prototype development, machine testing, trials, and necessary design modifications.
- Identify design-related issues during production and provide effective technical solutions.
- Work on value engineering and cost reduction without compromising product quality and performance.
- Prepare technical drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, welding details, and material specifications.
- Maintain revision control of drawings and ensure all design changes are properly documented.
- Support the development of recent agricultural implements based on market and farmer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and agricultural machinery standards.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks/Creo/CATIA.
- Knowledge of 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining, laser cutting, bending, and powder coating.
- Knowledge of mechanical components, fasteners, bearings, shafts, gears, hydraulic systems, and power transmission.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, fits, and material specifications.
- Good knowledge of agricultural machinery and implement design will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
