We are looking for a Product Manager – Learning Management to own the teaching and learning surface of our platform, distinct from the administrative side of the product.
This role is ideal for a product leader who has built products for teachers and students, not just for administrators. You should deeply understand the realities of classroom technology and recognise a fundamental principle of edtech: if a digital workflow takes more time than the paper version, a teacher will abandon it — no matter how good the feature looks.
You will own the product experience across content, curriculum, assessments, assignments, AI-led learning, and academic analytics, working closely with teachers, students, academic teams, design, engineering, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content & Learning Delivery
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for course and curriculum structures, including subjects, chapters, topics, and learning objectives.
- Build intuitive tools for creating, organising, publishing, and managing learning content.
- Support multiple content formats including video, documents, interactive learning material, and other digital resources.
- Define workflows for content versioning, updates, reuse, and publishing.
- Build lesson planning tools aligned with academic calendars and curriculum requirements.
- Integrate live classes and provide seamless access to class recordings and learning resources.
- Ensure teachers can prepare and deliver lessons with minimal administrative overhead.
2. Assessments
- Own the assessment engine end to end, including question banks, question types, difficulty tagging, question selection, and randomisation.
- Build online examination experiences covering timing, auto-submit, resumption after disconnection, and other real-world exam scenarios.
- Design workflows for objective-question auto-grading and rubric-based evaluation of subjective answers.
- Build reliable result publication, grade books, report cards, and student progress tracking.
- Work closely with academic stakeholders to ensure assessment workflows reflect sound pedagogical practices.
- Balance assessment integrity with usability for teachers and students.
3. Assignments
- Own the end-to-end online assignment lifecycle — creation, distribution, submission, late submissions, grading, and closure.
- Build efficient teacher grading workflows, including annotation, comments, rubrics, and structured feedback.
- Explore plagiarism and originality-checking capabilities while keeping the experience practical for schools.
- Enable students and parents to clearly understand assignment status, feedback, and performance.
- Reduce the effort required for teachers to manage digital assignments compared with traditional workflows.
4. AI-Led Learning
- Define and build AI-powered learning experiences, including an AI tutor for doubt resolution, concept explanation, guided practice, and revision.
- Develop personalised learning paths based on student performance, learning gaps, and mastery.
- Build adaptive difficulty and revision recommendations.
- Explore AI-assisted grading and feedback generation to reduce teacher workload while keeping teachers in control.
- Establish product guardrails for AI accuracy, age-appropriateness, academic integrity, and responsible use.
- Clearly define what the AI should and should not do in a K-12 learning environment.
- Continuously evaluate AI experiences through teacher and student feedback, learning outcomes, and quality metrics.
5.
Learning
Analytics
- Own student progress and mastery-tracking experiences.
- Build teacher-facing dashboards that help educators identify learning gaps and class-level performance trends.
- Create parent-facing progress summaries that are clear, actionable, and easy to understand.
- Enable institution-level academic reporting and insights.
- Translate learning data into meaningful recommendations rather than simply presenting large volumes of metrics.
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 4–8 years of experience in Product Management, with at least 3 years building an LMS, edtech, or learning product.
- Demonstrated experience building products for schools, colleges, or learning platforms.
- Experience shipping an assessment or assignment system end to end.
- Strong experience working directly with teachers and students during product discovery and validation.
- Ability to articulate what you learned from teachers and students that changed your product decisions.
- Strong understanding of the practical constraints of Indian education environments, including:
- Patchy or unreliable connectivity
- Shared devices
- Low-end Android devices
- Limited device/storage capacity
- Mixed levels of digital literacy
- Classroom and teacher workflow constraints
- Strong understanding of learning and assessment workflows and the ability to reason about pedagogy, not just features.
- Ability to translate complex academic requirements into simple, intuitive product experiences.
- Strong product sense, analytical thinking, prioritisation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI tutoring, adaptive learning, or personalised learning experiences.
- Experience with K-12 education and school curriculum structures.
- Familiarity with CBSE, ICSE, or state-board curricula.
- Experience working with content providers, publishers, or third-party educational content integrations.
- Experience building for multilingual audiences.
- Experience with accessibility and inclusive learning experiences.
- Understanding of academic integrity, plagiarism detection, assessment security, and responsible AI in education.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means building a learning platform that teachers and students genuinely prefer over manual processes.
You will be successful when:
- Teachers can create, deliver, assess, and provide feedback with less effort than their existing workflows.
- Students have a reliable, intuitive experience across learning, assignments, assessments, and revision.
- Assessments accurately measure learning and provide actionable insights.
- AI meaningfully improves learning outcomes and teacher productivity without compromising trust or safety.
- Parents and educators have a clear understanding of student progress.
- Product decisions are grounded in classroom realities, pedagogy, data, and direct user feedback.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Education, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Management, Technology, or a related field is an advantage.
- Candidates with robust, relevant experience in LMS/EdTech product management may be considered irrespective of their specific academic specialisation.
