Product Designer Furniture & Interior Products

Role Summary The Product Designer will support the design, engineering, and development of furniture and interior products across modular kitchens, wardrobes, loose furniture, dcor, and home improvement categories. The role is responsible for creating technical documentation, assisting in prototype development, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring timely execution of product development activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development of current product concepts based on design briefs and business requirements.
- Prepare 2D drawings, basic 3D models, BOMs, cut lists, and technical documentation.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, validation, and product improvement activities.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and installation teams during product development.
- Support material, hardware, and accessory selection based on design and cost requirements.
- Maintain product specifications, technical datasheets, and development records.
- Follow established design, quality, ergonomic, and manufacturing standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for samples, technical information, and product development inputs.
- Conduct product benchmarking and market research to identify design and feature opportunities.




- Assist in resolving technical issues identified during production or installation.
- Support product launch readiness by ensuring documentation and specifications are complete and accurate.
- Track product development timelines and ensure action closure across stakeholders.

Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Mechanical Design, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in modular furniture, kitchens, wardrobes, interior products, or furniture manufacturing.
- Exposure to product development processes and technical documentation.
- Understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, and hardware systems.
- Experience in residential interiors or modular furniture industry will be an added advantage.
