Role &

responsibilities -

- Identifying suppliers for sourcing of Plastic parts & Exterior commodity (Direct Material)

- Knowledge of soft trim parts (Head liner, Carpets, felts, foam etc)

- Ensuring delivery of parts from suppliers and supporting supply chain in cases of delivery issues.

- Conducting supplier assessments along-with cross functional teams.

- Carrying out the sourcing process including RFQ, Technical review, Negotiation, PO release for production

- Working closely with suppliers for developing parts & production capacity in line with program timing.

- Working on cost optimization activities to reduce costs / Localization.

- Supporting quality improvement initiatives to achieve zero ppm and field quality

Educational Qualifications -

- BE/ B.Tech Must (Mechanical/Automobile preferred), MBA (optional) 7-10 years of experience in Purchase function preferably in Plastic commodity with automobile OEMs

Competencies -

- Have good leadership skills and competent in techno-commercial buying

- Should have robust interpersonal skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment. Ability to multi-task and achieve targets
