Sr. Officer/Jr. Manager- HRBP (Unit HR Head)

Purpose of the Role

To act as the Unit HR Head for the grocery repacking facility, responsible for the end-to-end HR lifecycle, compliance, manpower planning, welfare, IR, and engagement for ~200 on-roll and off-roll employees.

This role ensures smooth HR operations, statutory compliance, disciplined workforce management, and supports productivity, quality and food-safety goals of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

A. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding

- Manage hiring for all on-roll and contractual roles as per the approved manpower plan.
- Coordinate with contractors for daily/weekly manpower availability and ensure the same.
- Drive joining formalities, documentation, ID creation, induction and plant orientation.

B. Employee Life Cycle Management (End-to-End)
- Maintain employee records, personal files, contract staff muster, shift rosters.
- Ensure timely confirmation, transfers, promotions, increments, and separations.
- Drive exit formalities, full & final settlement coordination, and attrition control.

C. HR Operations & Payroll Coordination
- Ensure accurate inputs for attendance, incentives, weekly off etc.
- Verify contractor bills and ensure compliance with MW and Payment of wages & PF/ESIC etc.
- Coordinate with the payroll team for timely disbursal and issue resolutions if any.

D. Contract Labour Management
- Oversee onboarding, attendance, wage compliance and statutory records for all off-roll employees.
- Conduct monthly contractor audits: PF/ESIC challans, wage slips, muster, bonus, leave etc
- Ensure CLRA license, RC, and documentation are valid.

E. Statutory Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages Act, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, and other state-specific regulations.
- Maintain statutory registers and ensure readiness for inspections.
- Support external audits: FSSAI etc

F. Industrial Relations & Discipline
- Handle shop floor discipline issues, grievances, counselling,



and issue of notices/charge sheets where needed.
- Support healthy employee relations in close coordination with the Factory Manager and Area HR Head.
- Maintain harmonious relations between staff, operators, contract workforce, and contractors.

G. Training & Capability Building

- Identify unit-level training needs (food safety, GMP, safety, HR policy awareness).
- Conduct daily/weekly briefing talks or coordinate functional training.
- Maintain training records and skill-matrix for operators.

H. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Drive engagement calendar: festivals, R&R;, skip-levels, suggestion programs.
- Ensure availability of welfare facilities: drinking water, rest area, washrooms, PPE, first-aid, canteen.
- Monitor hygiene, safety and morale on the shopfloor.

I. HR MIS, Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain monthly HR dashboards:

o Attendance, attrition, overtime, contractor compliance score, open positions, training records, statutory status.
- Share daily/weekly MIS with Factory Manager & Area HR Head.

J. Support to Business & Operations
- Partner with production, quality and shift leads to ensure manpower efficiency.
- Support productivity, food safety and operational performance through timely HR interventions.
- Drive culture of discipline, safety, responsibility and performance.

Candidate Profile

Experience: 4-8 Years

Qualification: MBA HR/IR, MSW, PGDM

Key Skills

o Strong working knowledge of labour laws and factory operations.

- Hands on experience in contractor labour management.

o Assertive communication, conflict handling and problem-solving skills o Ability to work in a high-pressure shop floor workplace. o MS Excel/HRMS proficiency for trackers & dashboards.

o Ability to influence workers, supervisors and contractors,
