Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Piping Design Engineer to handle piping design and engineering activities for pharmaceutical, API and industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for piping layouts, engineering calculations, preparation/review of drawings and documents, and coordination with clients, vendors and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and engineering of process, utility and service piping systems for pharmaceutical and industrial projects.
- Prepare and review P&IDs;, piping layouts, equipment layouts and piping isometrics.
- Develop piping specifications, line lists, valve lists, and BOQs.
- Carry out piping sizing and basic pressure drop, flow and hydraulic calculations.
- Develop piping routes considering process requirements, accessibility, maintenance and safety.
- Coordinate piping layouts with Process, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and other disciplines.
- Review equipment and vendor drawings and ensure proper piping connections.
- Prepare/review GA drawings, piping plans, sections and isometric drawings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable ASME, IS, GMP and project-specific standards.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors and contractors for technical requirements and design clarifications.




- Provide technical support during project execution, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Review drawings and technical work prepared by junior engineers and provide guidance.
- Ensure timely completion and quality of piping engineering deliverables.

Required Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in piping design and engineering.
- Experience in pharmaceutical/API/chemical projects will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or other piping design software will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of process and utility piping systems, piping components, valves, fittings and materials.
- Good understanding of P&IDs;, piping layouts and isometric drawings.
- Valuable communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently handle piping design activities and guide junior engineers.

Preferred Experience Experience in pharmaceutical turnkey/consultancy projects, particularly in process piping, utility piping, clean utilities and detailed engineering, will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
