Role Overview
We are looking for a qualified and responsible Pharmacist to manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring proper dispensing, inventory control, medicine storage and compliance with applicable pharmacy and healthcare regulations.
The candidate should have strong attention to detail and preferably experience in a hospital, IVF centre or healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pharmacy Operations
- Dispense medicines accurately against valid prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions, dosage, quantity and medication instructions.
- Provide appropriate information to patients regarding medicine usage, storage and precautions.
- Ensure medicines are dispensed only as per authorised prescriptions.
- Maintain proper pharmacy records and documentation.
2. IVF & Specialty Medicine Management
- Manage inventory of IVF medicines, injections, hormones and other fertility-related medications.
- Monitor medicine consumption and availability.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses and clinical teams regarding medicine requirements.
- Ensure appropriate handling and storage of temperature-sensitive medicines.
3. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records for all medicines and pharmacy items.
- Monitor batch numbers, expiry dates and quantities.
- Follow FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification.
- Identify slow-moving, fast-moving and near-expiry medicines.
- Raise purchase requirements based on consumption and minimum stock levels.
4. Billing & Documentation
- Ensure accurate billing of medicines and pharmacy items.
- Reconcile pharmacy sales, collections and stock.
- Maintain purchase and sales records.
- Coordinate with the Finance team for pharmacy-related MIS and reconciliation.
- Ensure proper documentation of returned, damaged and expired medicines.
5. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure medicines are stored according to recommended conditions.
- Monitor refrigerator/cold-chain temperature where applicable.
- Maintain records required for pharmacy inspections and audits.
- Follow applicable drug, pharmacy and healthcare regulations.
- Ensure expired or damaged medicines are appropriately segregated and disposed of as per policy.
6. Patient Service
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with patients.
- Clarify medicine-related queries within the scope of the pharmacist's role.
- Minimise dispensing errors through proper verification procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription information.

Candidate Profile
Qualification:
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognised institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Pharmacy Council.
Experience:
- 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Hospital, IVF, fertility or healthcare pharmacy experience will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of medicines and dosage forms
- Prescription reading and dispensing
- Inventory and stock management
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations
- Good computer/ERP skills
- Basic MS Excel knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and patient-handling skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records
Ideal Candidate A responsible, patient-focused and detail-oriented Pharmacist who can ensure protected medicine dispensing, efficient inventory management and smooth pharmacy operations while maintaining high standards of compliance and patient care. Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
