Role Description The Payroll Trainer will design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs focused on payroll fundamentals, advanced payroll processes, and governance best practices. In this part-time remote role, the trainer will conduct live virtual sessions, create learning materials (such as presentations, guides, and exercises), and support learners through Q&A;, coaching, and feedback. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing course content, updating materials to reflect changes in payroll regulations and standards, and collaborating with the education team to align training with certification requirements.

The role also involves assessing learner progress,



contributing to online community discussions, and recommending enhancements to the curriculum based on participant feedback and emerging industry trends.

Qualifications

- Strong payroll expertise, including end-to-end payroll processing, compliance, and governance, with experience in complex or multi-jurisdiction environments.
- Instructional design and training skills, such as developing structured curricula, creating engaging learning materials, and facilitating live virtual sessions.
- Communication and interpersonal abilities, including clear written and verbal communication, active listening, and the capacity to explain complex topics in accessible terms.
- Digital literacy and remote teaching capabilities, including proficiency with online learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and collaborative document tools.
- Relevant professional certifications in payroll, accounting, or HR, or equivalent practical experience; experience contributing to professional communities is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time schedules effectively, and meet deadlines for course delivery and updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, HR, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience in payroll education or training will be considered.
