We are looking for a Packaging Designer to create packaging for Homecentre's Soft Furnishing category - from everyday packaging to festive, gifting and special projects. The role combines design thinking and hands-on artwork execution, with opportunities to explore new packaging ideas, formats and visual directions that improve the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned packaging projects from brief to final artwork approval, ensuring accuracy and design quality.
- Create and adapt packaging designs across SKUs, formats and seasonal/festive programs.
- Develop recent packaging ideas and improvement projects across design, functionality, material and efficiency.
- Work on dielines, print-ready artwork and 3D mockups, and review digital proofs and physical samples before bulk production.
- Collaborate with Category Buyers, Product Designers and Printers to develop and close packaging artworks.
- Explore packaging trends, competitor designs and new visual directions to bring fresh ideas to the category.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic/packaging design.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and AI tools.
- Good understanding of layout, typography, colour and visual hierarchy. • Working knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, finishes and production constraints.
- Knowledge of packaging formats such as boxes, U-cards, stickers, tags, sleeves, labels, etc. will be a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
