Roles and Responsibilities

- Responsible for design, development and execution of recent products in assigned categories of electro-mechanical products such as wiring device & switch gear products.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Unigraphics (NX).
- Ensure product designs comply with BIS, ISO, and other relevant industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation including DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and technical reports
- Define product architecture, material selection (plastics & metals), and component specifications to meet performance and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze existing products to identify opportunities for cost reduction, manufacturing simplification, and performance improvement.
- Drive Value Engineering (VE) and Cost Reduction (CR)



projects without compromising quality or functionality.
- Knowledge of Electromechanical product design and development process (Specially Switch, Sockets, Plugs, Plates)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software: SolidWorks, Creo, Unigraphics (NX) for 3D Modelling, A & B type surface modelling, Detailed 2D drafting,
- Hands on experience in product design, plastic part design, GD&T;, component development, Moulds & Tools basics.
- Hands on experience on DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, Process capability study, project management, Value engineering.
- Through knowledge on BIS standard for wiring accessory products
