Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons according to the school's curriculum.

- Teach age-appropriate topics covering ancient, medieval, and modern history as applicable to the curriculum.

- Explain historical events, timelines, civilizations, cultures, movements, and important personalities effectively.

- Develop students' critical thinking, analytical, research, and interpretation skills.

- Use interactive teaching methods such as discussions, debates, storytelling, role plays, projects, maps, timelines, and multimedia resources.

- Encourage students to connect historical events with current social and global developments.

- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, presentations, question papers, and teaching-learning materials.

- Conduct classroom assessments, assignments, projects, quizzes, and periodic examinations.

- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.

- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial guidance.

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, assessments, and progress.

- Encourage students to participate in History-related projects, exhibitions, quizzes, debates, and competitions.

- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.

- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas requiring improvement.

- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and departmental meetings.

- Collaborate with other teachers and coordinators for interdisciplinary projects and academic planning.

- Participate in school events, assemblies, educational trips, workshops, and extracurricular activities.

- Maintain student portfolios and other required academic documentation.

- Follow school policies, curriculum guidelines, and child-safety procedures.





- Participate in career development and teacher-training programs.

- Perform other responsibilities assigned by the School Leadership Team.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History / Social Science / relevant discipline.

- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.

- Candidates with additional qualifications in Social Science Education will be an advantage.

Experience

- 2–5 years of teaching experience as a History / Social Science Teacher.

- Experience teaching Middle School students is preferred.

- Experience in CBSE/ICSE or reputed school environments will be an advantage.
