The Logistics Assistant Manager role oversees end-to-end warehouse operations, including inventory control, receiving, kitting, picking, packing, and dispatch. The position leads warehouse teams, monitors operational performance and safety, and helps ensure that domestic and export targets are achieved.

Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations by assigning daily tasks to the respective teams, including maintaining 5S standards, MRN, cycle counting, MRP relabelling, kitting, picking, packing, and dispatch

- Supervise, train, and provide direct assistance with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading, receiving, and inventory control

- Lead by example to ensure that all procedures, Kaizen principles, and best practices are consistently followed

- Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconciling discrepancies against the warehouse inventory system

- Measure and report key performance indicators and operational metrics to the operations manager on a weekly basis

- Oversee receiving and dispatch procedures for shipments





- Monitor warehouse associates to ensure compliance with safety procedures when operating forklifts and other machinery

- Ensure the achievement of fortnightly and monthly targets for domestic and export operations

- Ensure that inventory records in the system remain consistent with physical stock levels

Requirements

- Experience managing end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch

- Ability to supervise and train warehouse teams while promoting compliance with operational and safety procedures

- Knowledge of inventory counting and reconciliation processes, warehouse systems, 5S standards, and Kaizen principles

- Ability to monitor operational targets, measure key performance indicators, and prepare regular performance reports
