Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Executive – Real Estate to handle legal documentation, property due diligence, registrations, agreements, and compliance related to real estate transactions. The candidate should have strong knowledge of property laws and excellent drafting and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal due diligence and title verification for land and properties.
- Review and verify sale deeds, title deeds, encumbrance certificates, patta, approvals, permits, and other property-related documents.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including Sale Agreements, Sale Deeds, Lease Agreements, Joint Development Agreements, MOUs, POAs, and other real estate documents.
- Coordinate with advocates, government authorities, registration offices, banks, and other external stakeholders.
- Handle property registration, stamp duty, mutation, and related statutory processes.
- Identify legal risks associated with property transactions and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Maintain and update legal records, property documents, agreements, and litigation files.
- Monitor ongoing and potential property-related disputes and coordinate with external legal counsel.
- Ensure compliance with applicable real estate laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Provide legal support to internal teams including Sales, Projects,
Finance, Procurement, and Management.
- Prepare legal notices, replies, opinions, and correspondence as required.
- Track statutory and contractual deadlines and ensure timely action.
Required Qualifications
- LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized institution.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in real estate/property law, preferably with a real estate developer, law firm, or corporate legal department.
- Strong knowledge of property documentation, registration procedures, title verification, and real estate transactions.
- Good drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple property-related matters and deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal/document management systems.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Registration Act, Stamp Act, and applicable state-specific property laws.
- Experience in land acquisition, development agreements, property registrations, and real estate compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good understanding of litigation and dispute-resolution processes
