Job Summary
Wemake Solutions Pvt Ltd is looking for a skilled and responsible Lathe Operator to operate conventional lathe machines and perform machining operations as per engineering drawings and required specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, grooving and other machining operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and basic machining dimensions.
- Select and set appropriate cutting tools, work-holding devices and machine parameters.
- Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensions, tolerances and surface finish.
- Inspect finished components and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Perform basic machine setup, tool changing and adjustments.
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards around the machine and work area.
- Identify basic machine/tool problems and report them to the supervisor.
- Follow production schedules,
safety procedures and company quality requirements.
Required Skills
- 1–2 years of experience as a Lathe Operator.
- Basic knowledge of conventional lathe machine operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier caliper and micrometer.
- Understanding of basic machining tools, cutting speeds and feeds.
- Good attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
Qualification ITI / Diploma / 10th / 12th with relevant experience in machining or lathe operations.
