The role requires a hands-on business leader with strong experience across P&L;, Manufacturing, Procurement/Purchase, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service and Operational Excellence.

The ideal candidate should have experience in machine manufacturing and should be capable of independently driving transformation, building systems, improving profitability and developing the next level of leadership.

This is a change-agent role, requiring someone who has personally implemented improvements rather than only advising teams.

Key Responsibilities

Business & P&L; Leadership

- Take overall responsibility for business performance and profitability.
- Own and drive P&L;, cost optimisation and operational performance.
- Translate the company's vision into actionable business plans.
- Work with the Board/Promoters on short- and long-term business strategy.
- Build a strong leadership team and develop future business leaders.

Manufacturing & Operations
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing, production planning, assembly and project execution.
- Ensure timely production and delivery across branch/customer requirements.
- Improve productivity, capacity utilisation and manufacturing efficiency.
- Drive Work Study, First Time Right (FTR), productivity improvement and manpower optimisation.
- Lead production, planning, engineering and shop-floor teams.
- Establish systems and processes for scalable manufacturing operations.

Procurement / Purchase
- Lead strategic and operational procurement for machinery manufacturing.
- Robust experience in hard-core purchase of fabrication, machining and engineering components.
- Knowledge of costing of machining and fabrication involving stainless steel, steel and aluminium.




- Develop and strengthen domestic/global vendor base.
- Improve vendor quality, cost and delivery performance.
- Manage procurement of electrical, pneumatic, hardware and other A-class bought-out components.
- Negotiate with suppliers and identify alternate sourcing opportunities.
- Establish EOQ, minimum/maximum stock and inventory-control systems.

Supply Chain & Inventory
- Strengthen end-to-end supply chain planning.
- Improve material availability and inventory turns.
- Implement systems for inventory planning, stock control and procurement forecasting.
- Work closely with Purchase, Production, Planning and Stores teams to improve delivery performance.
- Use ERP/MIS/Excel and technology for data-driven decision-making.

Manufacturing Excellence & Quality
- Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
- Build a culture of operational excellence.
- Improve machine quality to international/export standards.
- Drive First Time Right and reduction of manufacturing defects.
- Establish robust quality systems and process controls.
- Lead change-management initiatives across manufacturing.

Customer Service & Project Execution
- Drive superior customer service and customer experience.
- Ensure timely project erection and commissioning.
- Resolve customer complaints through structured root-cause analysis.




- Establish corrective and preventive action (CAPA) systems.
- Work with Service and Design teams to eliminate recurring customer issues.

Design & Product Improvement
- Use customer and service-engineer feedback to drive product improvements.
- Work closely with Design & Engineering teams on machine reliability and quality.
- Identify opportunities for new features, design improvements and reduction of customer complaints.

Technology & Digital Transformation
- Identify and implement technology-led improvements across operations.
- Drive ERP, MIS, AI, mobile operations, workflow automation and knowledge-management initiatives.
- Use technology to improve productivity, reporting, decision-making and operational visibility.

HR, Organisation & Leadership
- Guide the HR and Administration function.
- Establish stronger performance-management and appraisal systems.
- Support critical recruitment and succession planning.
- Build a high-performance culture.
- Develop managers and future leaders.

Machine manufacturing experience is mandatory. Candidates who have only worked in general production/operations without exposure to machine manufacturing, procurement/purchase and business/P&L; responsibilities will not be considered.
