Job Title: Inventory Planner

Job Purpose To manage the sourcing /supply, planning and distribution, in line with supply chain industry best practises, of a range of equipment / product and beverages from appointed suppliers as part of the onboard product offering

Principal Accountabilities

1. On the day performance management of customer Suppliers to maintain delivery performance in line with plans, forecasts and orders/contracts.
2. Minimise levels of local purchase and emergency requests by maintaining turn rates and availability without overstocking in line with industry standards and targets.
3. Regularly review the stock levels to ensure that the financial interests of customer are being met by maintaining stocks at the optimal level for service.
4. Manage the non-perishable goods and beverages forecasting to maintain availability levels at the Warehouses balancing the ability to meet the demand from global catering stations.
5. Support tactical and strategic sourcing / contractual changes of suppliers through supplier evaluation, scenario analysis of long-term requirements in multi-million pounds contracts.
6. Advise on, plan and closely monitor the effective change over from old to recent parts or suppliers in line with brand launch /re-launch requirements.
7. Provide timely and accurate automated supplier schedules to provide customer Suppliers with advance forecast information to enable their own automated forecasting process to meet customer stock requirements.

Complete root cause analysis out of stock or over stock situations are identify and implement relevant corrective actions such as emergency shipments and direct deliveries to stations.
9. Communicate effectively risks of out of stock or over stock on a timely manner and work with relevant parties to mitigate the risks.
10. Liaise with the Junior planners to give support and development while ensuring that all objectives are met in a timely manner.
11. Liaise with Station provisioning team to understand consumption patterns at the stations.
12. Liaise with data analyst to improve the forecast accuracy and parameters.
13. Work with the Inventory & Planning manager to deliver the strategic projects designed to increase the capability and performance of the planning team.
14. Investigate and manage invoice mismatches.
15. Maintain updated master data and parameters in the system relevant to the parts and suppliers.
16. Liaise with system support team in case of identifying any system issues or opportunities for improvement impacting the day-to-day process.
17. Support suppliers on the correct use of the system.

Key interfaces In conjunction with the Junior Planners, contact with designated suppliers at all levels within their organisation. Liaison with Procurement in relation to contractual queries. Contact with Caterers and other areas of Product & Service to ensure effective supply.
