Role Purpose:

We are seeking an Integration Consultant with hands-on SAP PI/PO development experience to support the SAP S/4HANA store rollout for the MAF Retail operating company. Working offshore under the Integration Lead, the consultant will build, test and support the interfaces connecting S/4HANA with POS, CAR, EWM, e-commerce, payment, logistics and banking systems for each store wave.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of SAP PI/PO development experience, exposure to SAP Integration Suite and API-based integration, and must have worked on at least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation.

Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Interface Development:

- Build interfaces in SAP PI/PO from approved interface specifications, covering ESR objects, mappings, communication channels and integrated configuration.
- Prepare technical designs, review interface specifications for completeness, and raise mapping clarifications with the functional teams early.
- Implement message mappings, Java and XSLT mappings, value mappings, and reusable error handling and alerting patterns.

Connectivity and Testing:

- Configure adapters and connectivity for IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, JDBC and JMS scenarios with SAP and third-party systems.
- Work with Basis, infrastructure and vendor teams on certificates, firewall rules, partner profiles and secure file transfer setup.
- Unit test all interfaces, support interface and end-to-end integration test cycles, and drive defects to closure with test evidence.

Monitoring, Performance and Support:

- Implement monitoring, alerting and reprocessing mechanisms,



and support daily interface monitoring during test cycles and hypercare.
- Tune interfaces for peak retail message volumes, including queue management, parallel processing and payload size handling.
- Analyse and resolve message failures during cutover and go-live, coordinating with third-party providers where the fault sits outside SAP.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

- Maintain technical interface documentation, runbooks and handover material to project standards.
- Escalate risks and issues promptly to the Integration Lead, such as connectivity blockers, vendor delays or unclear mappings.
- Track assigned interfaces against the build and readiness plan and report progress accurately.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with functional streams, ABAP developers, Basis, infrastructure and external vendors across offshore and onshore locations.
- Support handover of interfaces to the application support team, ensuring availability during UAE business hours as required.

Functional/Technical Competencies

Education:

- Bachelor s/master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on SAP PI/PO development experience, including single-stack Java implementations.
- Mandatory: at least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation delivered end to end,



from design through go-live, with exposure to retail interface scenarios such as POS sales upload, inventory messaging and payment settlement.
- Hands-on experience with ESR and Integration Directory objects, message and value mappings, and integrated configuration.
- Experience supporting interface testing, cutover and hypercare on a multi-site rollout.

Technical Skills:

- Adapter expertise across IDoc, RFC, SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, JDBC and JMS, with secure connectivity setup.
- Working knowledge of Java and XSLT mapping, XML/JSON handling, and message monitoring tools.
- Exposure to SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration and API Management is an advantage.
- Familiarity with retail-specific SAP components such as SAP CAR, POS DM, IS-Retail and EWM.

Soft Skills:

- Transparent written and spoken English for coordinating with onshore teams and external vendors remotely.
- Analytical mindset and structured approach to tracing message failures end to end.
- Willingness to work offshore with overlap to UAE business hours and extended hours during cutover and go-live.

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite Certification.
- Experience with high-volume, multi-location retail SAP rollouts delivered from an offshore location.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid methodologies and tools such as Jira or Solution Manager.
