: Senior Manager – Industrial Engineering

Reports To: Plant Head / Operations Head

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Manager – Industrial Engineering to lead productivity improvement, process optimization, capacity enhancement, cost reduction, and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in automotive component manufacturing and hands-on exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, VAVE, Line Balancing, Capacity Planning, and Digital Manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Engineering & Productivity

- Lead Industrial Engineering activities across machining, assembly, fabrication, welding, tube, hose, casting, forging, or other automotive component manufacturing processes.
- Conduct time studies, motion studies, work measurement, and manpower optimization.
- Improve productivity through line balancing, cycle time reduction, and layout optimization.
- Establish and monitor productivity KPIs and benchmark performance across plants.

Process Improvement & Lean Manufacturing
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, TPM, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Lead cost reduction and VAVE (Value Analysis & Value Engineering) projects.
- Identify opportunities for waste elimination and process simplification.

Capacity & Resource Planning




- Prepare capacity analysis and resource planning for existing and new programs.
- Support manufacturing feasibility studies and capex planning.
- Optimize manpower, machines, and material flow.

Operational Excellence

- Develop standard work procedures and improve process efficiency.
- Implement Industry 4.0, automation, digital manufacturing, and low-cost automation projects.
- Monitor OEE, utilization, productivity, and manufacturing cost metrics.

Recent Product & Project Support
- Support new product development and new line setup activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, SCM, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
- Participate in APQP, PFMEA, process validation, and launch activities.

Team Management

- Lead and develop Industrial Engineering teams.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
- MBA / PGDM in Operations will be an added advantage.
- 15–20 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Excellence, or Operational Excellence in automotive component companies.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, VAVE, TPM, OEE, Line Balancing, and Capacity Planning.
- Experience in ERP/SAP and digital manufacturing tools.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
