Role Description The Area Manager (Chennai) role at Licious is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing operations across designated locations in the Chennai region. This role involves managing day-to-day store and field operations, ensuring adherence to quality, hygiene, and safety standards, and meeting performance targets related to sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The Area

Manager will lead, train, and support local teams, monitor KPIs, analyze operational data, and implement process improvements to drive productivity and service excellence. The role also includes coordinating with cross-functional teams such as supply chain, technical support, and customer service to resolve issues quickly, optimize resource utilization,



and maintain seamless application and system performance.

Manager will regularly report on area performance, identify risks and opportunities, and contribute to strategic initiatives that support Licious’s growth in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end last-mile/hub operations across assigned locations.

Lead and develop Hub Managers / Team Leads and frontline teams.

Drive rider/manpower hiring, attendance, productivity and retention.

Monitor key operational metrics including SLA, delivery performance, productivity, cost and customer experience.

Identify operational gaps and implement effective RCA and action plans.

Manage daily business performance and ensure achievement of targets.

Handle escalations and ensure smooth coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Drive process improvements and operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with company processes, safety and quality standards.

Candidate Profile

✅ 5+ years of experience in Last Mile / Logistics / E-commerce / Quick Commerce / Fleet / Delivery Operations

✅ Strong people-management and leadership skills

✅ Experience managing large frontline teams

✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

✅ Good understanding of operational metrics and cost management

✅ Comfortable working in a fast-paced operations setting
