Fintech Cloud is looking for an experienced Head – Legal to lead our legal, regulatory, litigation and law-enforcement matters.

We are specifically looking for a hands-on legal professional with prior experience in an NBFC, Bank, Fintech or Digital Lending business. This is not a role limited to contract drafting or routine corporate legal work.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all legal and regulatory matters for Fintech Cloud and advise senior management on legal and regulatory risk.
- Handle RBI-related matters, RBI Integrated Ombudsman complaints, borrower/customer escalations, regulatory notices and other grievances, coordinating closely with partner NBFCs/Banks.
- Independently handle matters involving Police, Cyber Crime Cells, Economic Offences Wings and other law-enforcement/investigating agencies, including notices, complaints, summons and investigations.
- Manage litigation, consumer matters, legal notices, arbitration and disputes across jurisdictions and coordinate with external advocates/law firms.
- Advise on RBI Digital Lending Guidelines, LSP/NBFC arrangements, collections and recovery practices, borrower communications, grievance redressal and other lending-related regulatory requirements.




- Review and negotiate agreements with NBFCs, Banks, financial institutions, technology partners and service providers.
- Handle sensitive cases involving borrower complaints, collection-related allegations, fraud, employee misconduct, data misuse and other legal or reputational risks.
- Establish strong legal SOPs, escalation mechanisms and MIS for regulatory complaints, police matters, litigation and material legal risks.

Candidate Profile

- LL.B. from a recognized university; qualified to practice law in India.
- Preferably 10+ years of relevant experience, with substantial exposure to NBFCs, Banks, Fintech or Digital Lending.
- Solid practical understanding of RBI regulations and the Indian lending ecosystem.
- Demonstrated experience handling RBI/regulatory complaints and borrower grievances.
- Hands-on experience dealing with Police, Cyber Crime, EOW and other law-enforcement authorities is essential.
- Strong litigation, legal drafting, negotiation and crisis-management capabilities.

We are looking for someone who can take complete ownership of a legal matter from complaint/investigation through resolution, rather than merely coordinate with external lawyers.
