About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Halwai to prepare and maintain the quality of traditional Indian sweets, snacks, and related food products as per company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare sweets, savouries, and other Indian food items as per standard recipes.
- Ensure consistent taste, quality, texture, and presentation.
- Handle cooking equipment, ingredients, and kitchen operations safely.
- Follow FIFO, hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain proper portion control and minimize food wastage.
- Monitor ingredient availability and inform the supervisor about requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of the production area and equipment.
- Follow production schedules and complete daily targets on time.
Requirements
- 25 years of experience as a Halwai / Sweet Maker / Indian Cook.
- Experience in a QSR, restaurant, bakery, sweet shop, or central kitchen preferred.
- Good knowledge of Indian sweets and traditional cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen workplace.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in shifts.
