Job Overview

CT Automotive is a global supplier of interior kinematic and decorative components to Tier 1 automotive OEMs. We are looking for a motivated Commercial Engineer GET to support our costing and quotation activities.

This role is suitable for fresh graduates who have a basic technical understanding of automotive components and manufacturing processes and are interested in developing their skills in cost estimation, commercial support, quotation preparation, and project coordination.

The position requires technical literacy, basic ability to interpret CAD data, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Key Skills & Requirements

- Basic understanding of cost estimation, commercial activities, or project coordination gained through academic projects, internships, or training.
- Basic understanding of CBD (Cost Breakdown Detail) preparation for parts and tooling.
- Basic knowledge of CAD tools and ability to interpret drawings/data; no design responsibility.
- Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain workflows.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic knowledge of cost modeling will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and willing to learn.




- Ability to manage assigned tasks, deadlines, and deliverables effectively.

- Ability and willingness to work closely with cross-functional teams such as Commercial, Engineering, Purchasing, and Supply Chain.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

- Assist in preparing Cost Breakdown Details (CBDs) for parts, tooling, and assemblies.
- Support engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and commercial teams in gathering inputs required for quotations.
- Use basic CAD tools to extract dimensional and technical information required for costing, under guidance.
- Coordinate with suppliers to collect quotations and technical specifications for pricing purposes.
- Assist in preparing and submitting customer quotations and cost proposals.
- Support project review and pricing strategy meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records of quotations, costing assumptions, and approvals for future reference.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to costing and quotation processes.
- Learn and develop an understanding of automotive costing, commercial processes, and quotation activities.
