Role & responsibilities

- Own and resolve Google Cloud Platform (GCP) billing and cost-related support cases from initiation through closure.

- Investigate customer billing concerns by analyzing invoices, usage reports, credits, adjustments, and billing account data.

- Review and interpret GCP pricing models, including Usage-Based Pricing, Sustained Use Discounts (SUDs), Committed Use Discounts (CUDs), and regional pricing structures.

- Analyze BigQuery Billing Exports using SQL to identify cost drivers, spending trends, and billing discrepancies.

- Correlate cloud resource consumption with billing charges and explain the financial impact to customers.

- Utilize GCP Billing Console, Cost Management dashboards, and reporting tools to troubleshoot and validate billing issues.

- Perform root cause analysis for unexpected cloud spend, invoice variances, and cost allocation concerns.

- Support cost optimization initiatives by identifying opportunities for improved cloud spending efficiency.

- Work with IAM, project hierarchy, folders, and organizational structures to understand charge attribution and governance requirements.

- Maintain accurate case documentation,



billing analysis records, and audit-ready reports.

- Collaborate with technical engineering, finance, account management, and operations teams to drive issue resolution.

- Communicate complex billing and pricing concepts to customers in a clear, qualified, and customer-friendly manner.

- Ensure adherence to defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs), quality standards, and operational metrics.

- Contribute to process improvements, knowledge base updates, and best practices for cloud billing support.

- Analyze Big Query Billing Exports using SQL to identify cost drivers, spending trends, and billing discrepancies.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in Cloud Billing, FinOps, Cost Management, Billing Operations, or Financial Analysis.

- Hands-on exposure to GCP Billing, BigQuery, SQL, or cloud cost reporting tools.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal customer communication skills.

- Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced support environment.
