The Finance GL ANALYST will be directly reporting into a team leader/manager and is responsible for the day to day & month-end reporting activities

Key Accountabilities:

Technical activities

- Daily, month and end year GL process, revenue and expenditure analysis
- Update and maintain general ledger and sub-ledgers detail for accounts such as fixed assets, prepayments, intangibles and accruals
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations and other key controls reporting are completed on time.
- Work on projects as required by management
- Prepare journal entries and period end adjustments (e.g., accruals, currency conversions, etc.)
- Provide inputs as required during annual group and statutory audits
- Produce management and regulatory reports
- Able to assist on budgets and forecasts

Relationship management

- Develop sound professional working relationships with Finance shared services teams

Communication

- Proactive and regular communications with the business and other areas of Finance whose work impacts, or depends upon the GL & Reporting team
- Actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customers
- Be supportive and encourage support for people initiatives e.g. Your Voice, Travelex Awards etc
- Play a participative part in team meetings




- Be proactive in the provision of feedback and the delivery of ideas to develop and improve Travelex Finance services, particularly those within the GL team
- Ensure feedback to line manager outlining general activities of role and how we are doing

General

- Undertakes any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development procedures
- Complies with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilities
- Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines
- Manage expenses in accordance with Company Expense Policy
- Carries out any other reasonable duties commensurate within their capability

Experience and personal qualities:

Essential

- Qualified (CA/CWA) or Inter CA with 1-year PQE or Graduate /Postgraduate with 4-6 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
- A committed team player
- Solid analytical skills
- Has the ability to approach technical problems in a thorough and logical manner
- Has good communication and presentation skills
- Be a valued team player
- Be trustworthy and self-motivated

Working hours

- 12.30pm – 9.30 pm IST
- Could be longer working hours during month end

Preferred Location Western side (Virar to Churchgate)
