The Role: Furniture Designer

You won’t just design furniture that looks good — you’ll design furniture that people want to live with.

From concept sketches to final production, you’ll be involved in creating sofas, beds, dining furniture, and storage solutions designed for real UK homes.

You’ll work across

Concept development and furniture styling

Product sketches and design exploration

Material, fabric, foam, and upholstery selection

Furniture construction and structural planning

BOM / BOQ preparation and cost optimisation

Technical and production drawings

Packaging and flat-pack considerations

Product improvement through testing and feedback

Collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers

Basically: Sketch it. Spec it. Cost it. Build it.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can combine creative thinking with practical engineering.

You should have





Strong creative ability with a realistic approach to furniture design

Good understanding of furniture construction and structural design

Knowledge of fabrics, upholstery, foam, wood, and other materials

Understanding of UK furniture trends and customer preferences

Experience creating BOMs, BOQs, material calculations, and cost sheets

Ability to prepare technical and production drawings

Understanding of packaging and flat-pack furniture concepts

Knowledge of durability, testing, and quality considerations

Familiarity with furniture design software and creative tools

Ability to coordinate with factories and suppliers
