Role Purpose:

We are seeking a Functional Consultant specialising in SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR) with hands-on Unified Demand Forecast (UDF) experience to support the SAP S/4HANA store rollout for the MAF Retail operating company. Working offshore, the consultant will configure and support POS data management and the UDF forecasting model, ensuring that store sales history, demand influencing factors and forecast results are accurate and usable by downstream replenishment and planning processes.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of SAP retail experience with hands-on SAP CAR, POS DM and UDF configuration, and must have worked on at least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation.

Role Details - Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

CAR and UDF Configuration:

- Configure SAP CAR components including POS Data Transfer and Audit, the transaction log, and the Unified Demand Forecast model settings.
- Set up demand influencing factors, promotion and price sensitivity inputs, forecast profiles and model parameters to reflect MAF retail trading patterns.
- Prepare and maintain functional specifications for RICEFW objects in the CAR landscape, and support developers through build and unit testing.

POS Data Flow and Forecast Quality:

- Support the end-to-end POS data flow from store point-of-sale systems into CAR and onward to S/4HANA sales, inventory and financial postings.
- Monitor POS inbound processing, investigate failed or suspended transactions, and correct data through the POS workbench.
- Validate forecast output quality against actual sales, analyse deviations, and tune model settings with the business planning team.

Testing and Cutover Support:

- Prepare and execute unit,



string and integration test scripts covering POS inbound, aggregation, UDF forecast runs and downstream consumption.
- Support the load and validation of historical sales data required to initialise the forecast model for each store wave.
- Support store onboarding into CAR, including store profiles, transaction mapping and connectivity checks with POS providers.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

- Maintain configuration documentation, test evidence and process documentation to project standards.
- Escalate risks and issues promptly, such as POS interface failures, data volume constraints or forecast accuracy concerns.
- Prepare training and support material for planning and store operations users, and support hypercare after each go-live.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with the O2C, supply chain and integration streams, developers, Basis teams and POS vendors across offshore and onshore locations.
- Participate in design and validation sessions with business users, ensuring availability during UAE business hours as required.

Functional/Technical Competencies

Education:

- Bachelor s/master s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Experience:

- 5 to 8 years of SAP retail experience with hands-on SAP CAR configuration, including POS DM and Unified Demand Forecast.
- Mandatory:



at least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation delivered end to end, from design through go-live, with exposure to POS sales upload, aggregation and multi-store forecasting.
- Practical understanding of demand forecasting concepts: sales history cleansing, demand influencing factors, promotion uplift and forecast accuracy measurement.
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT and hypercare on a multi-site rollout.

Technical Skills:

- Hands-on SAP CAR configuration: POS Data Transfer and Audit, task and rule sets, transaction log, and error handling in the POS workbench.
- Hands-on Unified Demand Forecast setup: model configuration, forecast runs, demand influencing factors and result analysis.
- Working knowledge of SAP HANA views, CDS and SQL for data analysis and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with IS-Retail, replenishment planning and S/4HANA retail innovations.

Soft Skills:

- Clear written and spoken English for working with onshore stakeholders remotely.
- Robust analytical and numerical skills for investigating forecast and sales data discrepancies.
- Willingness to work offshore with overlap to UAE business hours and extended hours during cutover and go-live.

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP Customer Activity Repository Certification.
- Experience with high-volume, multi-location retail SAP rollouts delivered from an offshore location.
- Exposure to SAP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing, Assortment Planning or Allocation Management.
