Job Summary The Freight Specialist will coordinate and manage the transportation of materials, equipment, and products in support of BL Operations. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant freight movement for International logistics while working closely with internal departments, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transportation service providers.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Review and validate transport requests raised in LOR. Ensure the requestor provides all key information needed to execute a shipment.

2. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international shipping regulations (IATA, IMDG & Customs).

3. Coordinate with the sending BU Import / Export Specialist on the nature of export/ import to better shipment planning, or with the 3rd party supplier on the documentation, packing, and cargo readiness date.

4. Based on the request, check for contract rates else issue a spot rate request to appointed freight forwarders.

5. Review and analyse the freight options and recommend to BL the best option to meet the Requested Delivery Date. Challenge 3PL if the service mentioned is not required.

6.



Coordinate with Freight Forwarders to ensure smooth logistics flow. Pick-up to delivery upon awarding the freight. Communicate to BL if there are any delays or issues.

7. Compile shipping documents from 3PL and coordinate with importing BU Import / Export Specialist for Green Light.

8. Collaborate with the importing BU Import / Export Specialist on clearance and delivery, especially for shipping documents.

9. Validate freight invoices and send for approval based on the approval matrix.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or Professional Certification from CILT.

2. Minimum 2-5 years of Experience in managing logistics preferrable oil & gas.

3. Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.

4. Strong understanding of Incoterms, HS codes, and international trade documentation.

5. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

6. Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.

7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
