- Vishal Tour & Travels (VTT) is a leading B2B transportation company based in Faridabad, Delhi NCR, serving the travel industry since 1986.

- VTT currently operates a 30-vehicle premium passenger transport fleet, comprising Force Urbania, luxury mini coaches, premium travellers and 22 large AC coaches. Our fleet is predominantly made up of recent BS6 vehicles, with the oldest active vehicle being a 2022 model.

- With further fleet expansion planned during January–March 2027, we are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager / Fleet In-Charge to take complete ownership of the maintenance, mechanical condition and readiness of our fleet.

- Role Objective
- The Fleet Manager will be responsible for ensuring that every VTT vehicle is:

- Safe • Reliable • Well Maintained • Mechanically Fit • Trip Ready
- The person will take ownership of preventive maintenance, servicing, repairs, breakdown management, workshop coordination and overall vehicle condition.

- Key Responsibilities
-

- Fleet Maintenance & Preventive Maintenance

- Take day-to-day responsibility for the mechanical health of the complete fleet.

- Conduct regular vehicle inspections.

- Prepare and maintain vehicle-wise preventive maintenance schedules.

- Monitor servicing, oils, filters, brakes, suspension, tyres, batteries, AC systems, electrical systems and other mechanical requirements.

- Identify potential problems before they result in breakdowns.

- Ensure vehicles are properly checked before being released for trips.

- Maintain vehicle-wise maintenance and service history.

- - Vehicle Readiness & Availability

- Maintain a daily status of vehicles that are:

- Available

- On trip

- Under maintenance

- Scheduled for service

- Temporarily unavailable
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with the Operations team so that planned bookings are not affected.

- Ensure vehicles are returned to service only after necessary repairs/checks are completed.

- - Breakdown Management
- Take ownership of vehicle breakdowns and mechanical emergencies.

- Coordinate with drivers, mechanics and workshops for immediate resolution.

- Arrange appropriate technical assistance during outstation breakdowns.

- Coordinate with Operations if a replacement vehicle is required.





- Maintain a record of breakdowns and identify recurring problems.

- - Workshop & Vendor Management

- Coordinate with authorised/approved workshops, mechanics and service centres.

- Obtain and verify repair estimates.

- Monitor the quality and necessity of repairs.

- Verify spare-parts requirements and replacement recommendations.

- Monitor labour and repair costs.

- Ensure unnecessary repairs and expenditure are avoided.

- Develop reliable workshop/vendor relationships.

- - Driver & Ground-Team Coordination

- Take maintenance-related complaints from drivers seriously and ensure timely action.

- Inspect vehicles based on driver feedback.

- Ensure drivers report mechanical problems immediately.

- Coordinate with mechanics/helpers for maintenance-related work.

- Ensure VTT’s premium vehicle condition and presentation standards are maintained.

- - Spare Parts & Inventory

- Monitor critical spare parts and consumables.

- Coordinate procurement of required parts.

- Maintain records of parts purchased and used.

- Ensure proper control over inventory and avoid unnecessary purchases.

- - Maintenance Cost Control
- Monitor vehicle-wise maintenance expenditure.

- Identify vehicles with unusually high repair costs.

- Compare workshop estimates where appropriate.

- Ensure preventive maintenance is prioritised over expensive breakdown repairs.

- Maintain proper records of major repairs and replacements.

- - Fleet Reporting
- The Fleet Manager will maintain regular reports covering:

- Vehicle availability
- Service due / service completed

- Vehicles under repair

- Breakdown history

- Pending maintenance

- Tyre and battery requirements

- Major repairs

- Workshop expenses

- Vehicle downtime

- Recurring mechanical issues

- Candidate Requirements
- We are looking for an experienced, hands-on fleet professional, preferably from the commercial passenger transportation industry.

- Preferred Experience

- Candidates with experience handling:

- Tourist buses / coaches

- Force Traveller / Urbania

- Ashok Leyland buses

- Luxury travellers

- Mini coaches

- Employee transportation fleets

- School/college transportation
- Travel & tourism fleets





- Commercial passenger vehicle fleets
- will be preferred.

- Candidates currently working as or having experience as:

- Fleet Manager / Fleet In-Charge / Fleet Supervisor / Transport Supervisor / Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor / Workshop Supervisor / Transport Manager

- Ideal Candidate
- The ideal candidate should:

- Have practical knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance.

- Understand preventive maintenance rather than only breakdown repair.

- Be comfortable dealing with mechanics, drivers and workshops.

- Be capable of handling breakdown situations under pressure.

- Have positive knowledge of tyres, batteries, servicing and common mechanical issues.

- Be disciplined with maintenance records and follow-ups.

- Have a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- Be capable of working independently without constant supervision.

- * Preferably have experience handling a fleet of approximately 20–50+ commercial vehicles.

- Important
- This is a hands-on fleet management position.

- We are not looking for a candidate whose experience is limited to office administration or basic vehicle coordination.

- The selected candidate will be expected to take ownership of the physical condition, maintenance and readiness of VTT’s fleet and proactively identify issues before they become operational problems.

- Candidates who require extensive training in basic fleet management are not suitable for this position.

- Reporting & Coordination
- The Fleet Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager for vehicle availability and deployment requirements.

- Operations will handle vehicle documentation, deployment, driver allocation and trip operations.

- The Fleet Manager will primarily own:

- Vehicle Maintenance + Mechanical Health + Preventive Maintenance + Workshop Management + Breakdown Management + Fleet Readiness
