Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Designer. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with embroidery, fashion design, fitting, textiles, and fashion. The role includes designing, sketching, creating prototypes, embroidery sampling and collaborating with various teams.
This role requires strong communication and organisation skills as well as the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Qualifications
- Embroidery skills, as well as solid knowledge of various embroidery techniques and related materials
- Fashion Design skills including illustrations, conceptualising, and creating prototypes and developing tech packs.
- Knowledge of fitting and textiles to help make decisions regarding design and feasibility
- Strong understanding of fashion trends and industry standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong communication and organisation skills
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Experience with hand and machine embroidery and designing for haute couture is preferred
