Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Job Purpose To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, equipment, and electrical infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Electrical Maintenance

- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.

- Inspect electrical panels, motors, cables, switches, starters, contactors, relays, and control systems.

- Identify electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently.

- Machine Maintenance

- Attend electrical breakdowns of production machinery.

- Check motors, sensors, drives, PLC-related electrical components, and control panels.

- Support the maintenance team in minimizing machine downtime.

- Installation & Wiring

- Install electrical equipment, machines, lighting, switches, sockets, and distribution boards.

- Carry out electrical wiring and cable termination work.

- Assist with new machine installation and electrical connections.

- Preventive Maintenance

- Follow the preventive maintenance schedule.

- Perform routine inspection and testing of electrical equipment.

- Maintain records of maintenance activities and breakdowns.

- Safety

- Follow all electrical safety procedures and company safety rules.

- Use appropriate PPE and electrical testing equipment.

- Ensure proper isolation/LOTO procedures before working on electrical equipment.

- Report unsafe electrical conditions immediately.

- Troubleshooting





- Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other testing instruments.

- Repair or replace defective electrical components.

- Respond quickly to emergency electrical breakdowns.

- Documentation

- Maintain maintenance reports, breakdown records, inspection checklists, and electrical logs.

- Report recurring faults and recommend corrective actions.

- Other Duties

- Maintain electrical tools and equipment properly.

- Coordinate with production and mechanical maintenance teams.

- Support energy-saving and electrical improvement projects.

- Perform other electrical maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualification

- ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

- Relevant electrical certification/license as required by applicable regulations.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance preferred.

- Experience in a manufacturing/textile environment will be an advantage.

Required Skills

- Industrial electrical troubleshooting

- Motor and control-panel maintenance

- Electrical wiring and cable termination

- Knowledge of electrical safety

- Basic knowledge of PLC, VFD/AC drives and sensors

- Ability to read electrical diagrams

- Preventive and breakdown maintenance

- Valuable problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in shifts

Pay: From ₹8,694.92 per month
