About the Role

Client is looking to appoint two experienced senior professionals as Directors to strengthen its leadership, strategic business development, corporate relationships, and governance framework.

We are particularly interested in professionals who have built their careers in leading Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Public Limited Companies, Listed Companies, or large professionally managed organizations.

Candidates with experience in organizations such as BHEL, BEML, HAL, BEL, NTPC, IOCL, BPCL, HPCL and other reputed PSUs/Public Limited Companies will be preferred.

Senior professionals who have opted for VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme) and are looking for an opportunity to utilize their extensive corporate experience, industry knowledge, leadership capabilities, and professional network are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

- Provide strategic guidance to the Board and management of Client.
- Participate in defining the company's long-term vision, business strategy, and growth plans.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Support the promoters and management in taking informed business and investment decisions.
- Bring corporate discipline, structured thinking, and institutional experience to the organization.

2. Business Development

- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Client.
- Leverage existing industry and corporate relationships to create strategic opportunities.
- Develop relationships with PSUs, government organizations, large corporates, financial institutions, investors, and strategic partners.
- Explore potential joint ventures, strategic alliances, collaborations, and institutional partnerships.
- Represent the organization at senior corporate and industry forums when required.

Corporate & Government Relations

- Develop and maintain relationships with senior executives, PSU leadership, government departments, institutions, and corporate stakeholders.
- Support the organization in navigating large institutional and corporate opportunities.
- Provide insights into government/PSU procurement, institutional business practices, and corporate processes where relevant.
- Assist management in developing long-term strategic relationships.

4. Corporate Governance & Oversight

- Participate in Board-level discussions and strategic decision-making.
- Provide guidance on corporate governance, risk management, compliance, and organizational policies.
- Review major business proposals, investments, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
- Promote transparency, accountability, and professional management practices.
- Bring the benefit of experience gained in large, structured organizations.

5. Mentoring & Organizational Development

- Mentor senior management and key functional leaders.
- Help establish effective systems, processes, reporting structures, and performance-management practices.
- Support the development of a professional and accountable organizational culture.
- Share knowledge and best practices acquired through experience in large organizations.

6. Financial & Commercial Oversight

- Review business plans, budgets, financial performance, and profitability.
- Provide strategic inputs on investments and resource allocation.
- Evaluate major commercial proposals and business initiatives.
- Ensure that growth plans are aligned with long-term value creation.

Preferred Organizations

Candidates with VRS Background

Professionals who have taken VRS/Voluntary Retirement from PSUs, Public Limited Companies or large corporates are encouraged to apply.

Educational Qualifications

- Graduate/Postgraduate degree from a recognized institution.
- MBA, CA, CS, ICWA/CMA, Engineering, Law or other relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage.

Experience 15-25+ years of professional experience, with significant exposure to senior management, business strategy, operations, finance, corporate affairs, government/PSU relations, business development, or institutional relationships.
