We are looking for a Development Engineer with hands-on experience in plastic component development and injection moulding.
The candidate should be well versed in:
- Understanding plastic parts, 2D drawings and 3D models
- GD&T;, dimensional tolerances, datums and critical dimensions
- DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and injection moulding fundamentals
- Mould/tool development and mould trials
- APQP and PPAP documentation and processes
- PFMEA, Control Plan and basic quality tools
- Dimensional inspection and interpretation of inspection reports
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis
- Coordinating with customers, tooling, quality and production teams
Key Requirement We need someone who can understand a component technically and take ownership from customer drawing DFM tooling trials validation PPAP production, rather than someone limited to documentation.
Preferred: Experience with OEMs / Tier-1 suppliers and precision plastic components.Role & responsibilities
