- Design and develop heavy machinery, machine assemblies, and special purpose machinery (SPM) using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. - Prepare 2D drawing/ 3D models, detail drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, GA drawings, and manufacturing drawings. - Maintain drawing revisions and documentation as per company procedures. - Calculation and engineering documentation. - Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, engineering standards, and manufacturing requirements.
Required Technical Skills
- High level Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Drafting). - Proficiency in SolidWorks for fabricated and machined components/ assemblies - Understanding of material selection and basic engineering calculations.
- Good understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawing standards. - Knowledge of fabrication, machining, assembly, and other manufacturing processes. - FEA knowledge is preferred
Qualification
- B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Mechanical Design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD in the Heavy Engineering or Machine Building industry.
Other Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team setting. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Knowledge of SAP systems will be an added advantage. - Knowledge about auxiliary systems such as pneumatics/hydraulics/lubrication is added advantage
