Role Description The Deputy General Manager is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at Venkateshwar Hospital in New Delhi. This role oversees day-to-day hospital operations, coordinates with clinical and non-clinical departments, and ensures adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

The Deputy General

Manager supports strategic planning, monitors performance metrics, optimizes resource utilization, and drives process improvements to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities include supervising administrative teams, managing budgets and cost-control initiatives, supporting business development activities, and facilitating effective communication between senior management and departmental leaders.



The role also involves problem-solving operational issues, mentoring staff, and contributing to long-term growth and service excellence.

Qualifications

- Solid leadership, team management, and people-development skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in healthcare operations, hospital administration, and process improvement, including exposure to quality and safety standards.
- Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and decision-making abilities to manage budgets, resources, and performance targets.
- Advanced communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with clinicians, staff, and external partners.
- Experience in project management, change management, and implementation of operational initiatives in healthcare or similar environments.
- Sound understanding of regulatory requirements, accreditation processes, and compliance frameworks relevant to hospitals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree (MBA/MHA) is preferred.
- Several years of progressive responsibility in hospital or healthcare management, with prior experience at a senior or mid-senior level.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, handle complex situations, and maintain a patient-centric approach.
